Due to Covid shutting down most of the country, I was unable work for months, and even though it was so hard not to be working, it was both a much needed forced break and obviously necessary to follow proper precautions. Once I was able to resume work a few weeks ago, it’s been busy busy ever since. With new studio rules and guidelines, things are looking a feeling a bit different than they did before, but it’s all worth it to be able to document these tiny babies again. Paige was my first session back in studio, and she was already 4 weeks at the time of her session. However, she was absolutely perfect. I tend to go into sessions in general with a very loose plan, knowing that the babies completely run the show, but when they are a bit older like this, I know it could go in many different directions. But with 4 newborns now in the studio since re-opening and all but one being over a month old, I’m starting to re-consider capping newborn sessions at 3 weeks. These little ones have been amazing! Also, I got to do Paige’s big brother’s newborn pictures 2 years ago now, so this session was extra special. I’m so grateful to all the families who stick with me over the years, it means so much to me to be able to watch them grow.
